Steven Goodman, Research Center Director
Steven joined the Research Center as Director in 2004. He brings with him extensive experience in clinical research monitoring and design from his previous eight years as a clinical research associate with PRA International. During that time he worked on many phase one clinical trials and monitored sites participating in oncology and GI clinical studies.
Steven has nine years of experience as a medical naval corpsman and served during Desert Storm at Bethesda Naval Hospital. He spent 9 years in Merck's ophthalmic division in research and marketing, primarily in the field of glaucoma, as a liaison to thought leaders in major universities across the eastern US.
His unique blend of clinical patient care experience, familiarity with regulatory work required in clinical research, as well as his previous work as a research monitor, has provided the Research Center with hands-on leadership and direction in developing a wide spectrum of participation in adult and pediatric asthma, allergy and immunology trials.
About the Research Center
Our Research Center participates in infant, pediatric, and adult asthma, allergy and immunologic research trials. These studies are nationally conducted and are directed by guidelines set forth by the FDA who carefully monitors these trials.
Our patients' safety always comes first! Our staff is dedicated to empowering each and every research participant and their family with the educational tools to understand and self-manage their disease to minimize unnecessary emergency care and hospitalization and enhance their daily quality of life.
All research patients are shown the same care and concern as our regular office patients and have full access to the research team and on call physician for emergencies related to their treated disease.
All care provided during the course of screening and participation in a research trial is performed free of charge, including pertinent tests and all related medications.
Patients are fully informed of their medical condition, medications and all procedures performed during the course of a study.
Volunteer patients are compensated for their time and travel during the course of a study.
If you or your child have asthma, or an allergic or immunologic disease and would like more information regarding our clinical research trials, please fill in the information below and a research coordinator will contact you shortly.
